February 2013 News
Dear
Friends & Supporters,
I hope
all of you are having a good 2013 so far!
I want to thank you for your continued support of this ministry. It means a lot to us. We continue to need your prayers and support.
A lot
has been going on at the beginning of this year.
Cassie & Harold
My daughter Cassie had a baby boy on 1/22/13 at
6:50 a.m. at 8 lbs., 20 inches who they named Harold Joseph Hulbert III. She was trying to have a home birth but due
to some complications ended up having it in the hospital. Recently she had to go back in the hospital
due to back pain. Please keep her in your prayers as her
physical health seems to be a continuing difficulty for her.
Josiah & Ocean
Josiah
has been volunteering at Liebenzell Mission USA and is due back this
month. They have appreciated his help
there. He is trying to make plans to go to
the Liebenzeller Mission in Bad Liebenzell, Germany later this year. I think it would be a good experience for him
and he hopes to learn more German while he is there. Pray that he will be able to raise the money
needed for a plane ticket when the time comes.
Ocean in her car seat
I have
been teaching through Philippians which will have 10 lessons. Our Bible study folks have expressed that
they really are appreciating the study. I
also have plans to produce some DVDs called “Testing Music In The Churches”
which will be a 3-part series.
Please
keep a number of our Bible study folks in prayer. Seagull, who is a Bethania Alumnus and Queen
of Kwajalein in the Marshalls, has been dealing with a lot lately. Her husband, Morrison, went in recently for
bypass surgery and is recuperating.
Meanwhile her nephew who is the son of the recently deceased King of the
Marshalls has had to go into the hospital also with heart problems. The son of a pastor, who until he became
infirmed, was a regular Bible study attendee, got himself into some trouble by
driving under the influence of alcohol.
He has now been sentenced to spend some time in prison. He has since been regularly attending our
Bible studies and told us that he really is blessed by the studies right
now. Pray that he will stay close to the
Lord through this situation. Another
pastor who has been attending our studies for awhile has two sons and both are
now facing possible prison sentences for various situations. The problem with the low income housing areas
where many of our Micronesian islanders live is the high crime rate and youth
delinquency issues. They are hard places
to raise kids for all of them. Please
pray that he will be able to help his sons.
We
appreciate your prayers for our finances.
It is always a continuing issue for us.
2 Corinthians 9:12 This service that you perform is
not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
In His hands,
Sandy Simpson & family
